TLO1 Light Treatment Progress

Hey Guys.

Again, I wish to apologize for my recent absence from the blog.  I've been extremely busy starting my new course at college.

Another reason as to why I've been absence, and one that is more relevant to this post, during my last session of light treatment, I received bad burns to my back, quite similar to my burns in June.

So anyway, back to this post.
I've had psoriasis for 10 years now.  It first developed when I was studying for my 11+, which was a stressful time for any child :').

I had it diagnosed quickly and had to use creams all over constantly.
After 10 years, the creams were proving to not help, and the psoriasis was getting aggressively worse, so I spoke to my doctor about alternative treatments.

She recommended TLO1 Light Treatment to me and referred me to my local dermatology unit for an assessment.
The nurses there decided that I was eligible for light treatment and I began my 9 week process.

Now that I have finished my light treatment, I would like to share with you all my progress over the past 9 weeks.

So, the photo above depicts the psoriasis on my legs before I was consulted about TLO1.
As you can see, the psoriasis is very red and patchy.  My legs had been this way since I studied AS Levels back in 2010.  They never got better, only worse..

In the beginning of my treatment, progress was slow.  But after three weeks, I noticed a change..

The psoriasis were no longer red and sore on my legs.  Instead, they were lighter in tone and the dryness had decreased.

The next three weeks didn't show much of a change in my legs, although I noticed that the smaller patches had almost vanished completely.

I was starting to feel more confident that this treatment would work well for me.  Not only that, but I was getting a pretty sweet tan also ;D.

After 8 weeks, my legs look almost clear.  I feel fantastic about them, and two sessions after this photo was taken, I was finally discharged and had officially completed my treatment.

I am so grateful to the staff at Anderson House.  They kick-started the recovery.  I'll continue to use creams to keep the psoriasis at bay, but other than that, my skin is back in my control.

I'll admit that the psoriasis on my knees have started to form again, which is slightly disheartening but I'm controlling it :).

That's it for now guys.
Hope to start blogging again.
I just need to sort out my time management.

Until next time...♡

New August GlossyBox Video + 1 month review of July GlossyBox

Hey guys!

It's Glossybox time again!
This month's theme was 'High Flyers', so the box featured products from various countries around the world.
I reviewed everything I received in the video below, and gave my initial opinion of said products.
So be sure to check it out and to keep updated on my videos I post, be sure to subscribe!  I've another two to post within the next two weeks and hope to film more and more content ^^.

To read my one month on review and opinions of the products I received last month, it's featured after the jump..

I'm Back + Explination

Hey guys!
So as you all have probably noticed, I haven't posted in almost a month.
Seeing as this is a blog about myself, my likes and interests, and general other things, I feel that it is only fair if I share with you all why I haven't posted recently.

For the past 7 years, I've been self-harming, and last December, I was diagnosed with depression.  The doctors were under the assumption that it was only a small spell and that it would pass with the help of a few pills.

8 months on and I'm still taking medication to manage my depression, and it was working well, up until I finished college.  During the summer, because I'm yet to find work, my days are spent doing pretty much nothing at all, which gives the more darker thoughts a lot more space to creep into my mind.
Basically, it got to the stage where that every time I did something wrong (by accident), like spilling a drink, I would be in tears (The term 'Crying over spilled milk' comes to mind XD).

Yep, it's unreal..

Unfortunately, I feel that the doctors were a tiny bit wrong in their diagnosis.  I believe this because over the past month, I have and still continue to experience manic highs and lows.
Thankfully, the highs seem to last longer than the lows now.

Anyways, I'm now waiting to get an appointment with my GP to re-assess my diagnosis and possibly up my dosage, so hopefully everything goes well with that.  The reasoning for this is because depression, and more importantly, Bi-polar Disorder runs on my mother's side of the family.

So, because of all of the crap above, I haven't been able to focus on my blog.  I have been keeping up with nail art, but it's a lot easier to paint nails than to write about it..

My next entry will be soon though!
I have it planned out to a T!

It's going to be a written review of the products I received in last month's GlossyBox UK  and a video of this months and my initial opinions!

I'm really looking forward to this because I enjoyed making the last video ^^!

Thank you all for sticking by me.  It means so much to me <3

Until next time...

July 2013 GlossyBox Review + New YouTube Channel!

Hey Guys!

So this review is slightly different to my previous reviews.  Why?  Because you all get to hear my voice!

I'm extremely shy and really self-conscious of my accent so apologies if I am hard to hear at some points.  Also, because of where I'm from, we tend to talk slightly faster than most people.
I'd appreciate any feedback at all!

In the off chance that the embedded video won't play, here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyjcw4BIcG4

I really enjoyed the whole process of making this video so hopefully I can create others soon :D!

If you want to keep up to date with my YouTube reviews, please be sure to subscribe.  If you enjoy the video, please be sure to give it a little thumbs up as well.

Thank you so much.  I soon hope to add a short about me video also within the next few weeks so I'll post that here too ^^

Until next time guys...

General Update + Recent Nails

Hey!
So, I need to apologize for my absence.  The thing is that I finally finished college and I also received my referral for TLO1 Light Treatment.

So even though I'm officially on Summer Break, I've been really busy and haven't had the proper time to create posts.
I really didn't want to post some half-assed attempt of a post because I don't want people to have to read that sort of thing.

So here's what has been going on since my last post:
- I went for my induction day for Level 2 Beauty Therapy.  I'm really excited now because I also received my acceptance letter.  All I have to do now is assemble some form of a beauty kit and pay for my uniform.  In other words, I need about £250.

- I started my TLO1 Light Treatment this week.  This is provided by the NHS as treatment for Psoriasis.  My level of psoriasis is fairly mild compared to most people, so hopefully this treatment will repress the psoriasis for a while.  For the next 6 weeks, I will attend my local dermatology ward, 3 days a week for this treatment.  The downside to all of this is that whilst I'm receiving TLO1, I can't let my skin come into contact with direct sunlight, unless I'm factored up like mad!

- I've finally stopped smoking!  I started NRT on 11th June, and whilst using the patches, I gradually cut down the amount I smoked a day.  Yesterday, I only had one cigarette and today, I didn't smoke anything, nor did I feel any harsh cravings.  Hopefully, this means that for the remaining 10 weeks, I'll be able to ween myself off NRT and be nicotine free by the time I start back at college in September!

As for nail art and what not, because I've been all over the place, my creativity has just crumbled.  Here are some of the recent works below:

#BestieTwinNails with @DavaniaNailz on Instagram

Caviar Manicure

Hello Kitty inspired by my Punk era Hello Kitty Plush

Minions from Despicable Me, and of course, the ever-so famous Bapple(s)!

I hope to be back in full swing soon, but for now, please bare with me!
Thank you so much for reading!
Until Next Time...♡

Birthday Nail Polishes

Hey!
Apologies for the lateness of this post.  If you have read my last post, you will see why it is so late.

I managed to get the swatches done of my new polishes!

I was given these as a birthday gift from a friend :)!  They're all so pretty!  She checked out using two transactions and got the limited edition polishes free!

I'm a massive fan of Barry M nail polishes!  In my opinion, they're the best drugstore polishes in the UK.  Their formulas are always consistent and they apply so evenly!
So, these are the first 5 colours.

Summer Limited Edition A:
This beautiful pink applies so evenly and reached full opacity in only two coats.  I love this colour so much!  It looks so bright and is a great colour for summer!  I can't wait to include this in a nail art design!

Summer Limited Edition B:
This green is so vibrant and would have reached full opacity with three coats on my nails.  I want to paint apples with it soon, as it looks so yummy!

Gelly Hi-Shine - Prickly Pear:
Words can not describe how much I love this colour!  In the photo above, I only applied two coats!  It looks so smooth and shiny.  I really love how it contrasts with the next colour.

Gelly Hi-Shine - Papaya:
I don't actually own a colour like this so I am so happy to finally own it!  Again, this polish has a high shine and looks so beautiful.

Denim:
I adore this colour!  I cannot wait for the winter to fully use this polish in designs!

I know that in a previous post, I have talked about textured polishes before, more specifically, Atlantic Road and Station Road.  Because I have reviewed these two colours already, I will not review them again.

The reason that they have been included in the swatch below is because I wished to wear all 4 of Barry M's Textured colours.

Ridely Road:
Three coats applied and this beautiful green appears like sweet sandpaper.  I really love this colour, and I'm sure that I would wear this on days when I do not have the patience to create nail art.

Kingsland Road:
Again, like the previous polish, I love the colour and the texture is amazing.  I really adore Barry M's textured range and I am so glad to finally own all of the current colours.  I really hope that they create more in a variety of colours.  I'd love to see a lavender purple produced in this range.

After my birthday, my father kindly drove me to my local Boots as I was in search of a bottle of Barry M's Confetti Nail Effects.  I finally found a bottle and picked up two more polishes,

As soon as I returned home, I just HAD to swatch them all!

A:
This is Barry M's Confetti Nail Effect - Bubblegum, over their Summer Limited Edition: A.  The confetti polish contains small flecks of blue and white confetti, and contrasts well with the pink beneath it.

B:
This is one of the test designs I created using the nail art pen from Barry M.  I did this design to demonstrate how easy it is to produce curves with the pen.  Due to the fact that I lean hard when I'm writing, I found difficulty using the pen, but I'm finally teaching myself how to control my habit :).

C:
This is Maybelline's Spotted Pink.  It caught my eye when I was on my way to purchase the other polishes.  It reminded me of an Indie made polish.  I love this polish so much!  I really want to find a similar pink and use this as a subtle accent nail.

D:
This is Bubblegum over a white background.  I do like it, but it does cancel out the white confetti.

E:
This was to demonstrate the ease of use of the pen when creating straight lines and dots.  I found this easier than curves and really like what I can use this product for.

Apoligies for this being such a long post.  Hope it has been informative.

Until next time...♡

Dangers of the sun!

*WARNING!  THIS POST CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES*

Hey guys!
So I know that I promised a swatch post the other day, but then I fell violently ill with Sun Poisoning.  Why?  Simple.
I lay in the sun without any sun cream on =|.

I've suffered through the usual sun burn and now it's finally subsiding.
But wait.  There's more.

On Tuesday at around 12 noon, I discovered a small blister on my left leg:
As I have had this type of reaction to the sun before, I thought nothing of it and assumed it would do no harm.

Well, I was VERY wrong.  After a mere two hours, my leg looked like this:

Now surely you'd think this couldn't get any worse?  Well you'd be mistaken.
YUCK!

I left seeking medical attention until 10.30pm that night as I was home babysitting and had no money or means of transport to A&E.

I couldn't walk as my ankle had filled with fluid, and I was using a crutch to get around when I needed to.  It was so sore and awful.  I could feel the fluid jiggling around under the blister.

My parents arrived home just after 10pm to find my leg looking like this:

My dad immediately phoned the out of hours doctor first, but they refused to treat me.  I then was rushed to A&E, where I spent 4 hours just for them to wrap a bandage around my leg.

It was the worst experience I've ever had with my local emergency room, even worse than my drunken escapades on my 18th.

After a somewhat restless nights sleep, I went to my local treatment room on Wednesday morning and they properly bandaged my blister.  Thankfully, they are good at what they do.

I now have to go back every two days to have my burns re-dressed.  The improvement is outstanding.

Getting Better!

Hopefully this will heal up soon, and then maybe my ankle will also heal too!

I made this post to share with you all what happens when you don't wear sun cream.  It was 23℃ when I sat in the sun and there was a breeze.  I assumed I'd be fine, but I was wrong.

I've learned from my mistake, I hope that this may prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did.
Until next time...♡

Multiple Nail Art

Hey guys!
So recently, I've been very busy with college.  I've still been creating nail designs, it's just that I haven't had the time to write a blog entry recently.

I am finally finished with ICT at college now though, and I am fully ready to get back into blogging!

Instead of creating three seperate posts, I feel that I should just intergrate all of my updates into one larger post!

Tarty-Tartan

So the first look I wish to share with you all is my first attempt at tartan nail art.

Let me just say that for this look, you need a steady hand and the patience of a Saint!

I really love the outcome of this look because it looks really intricate and interesting, even though it's simply made up of lines.

The products I used for this look are:
Revlon - Blue Lagoon
Barry M - Red
NYC - White
Rio - Black Nail Pen

Glitz 'n' Glam

The second look I wish to share with you all is this glitzy tape mani.

I created this specifically for a Glitz and Glam themed competition on Instagram.
It really takes a lot of patience to work with tape, and patience is something I don't actually posess much of.
I've only recently been able to create near-perfect tape manicures, and I do have to admit that this is by far on of my favourites.

The products I used for this look are:
Rimmel - Etheral
Models Own - Northern Lights
Silver Square Diamontes purchased from eBay.

Candy Stripes

The final look I wish to share with you all is the first half of my birthday nails!

When I create a mani that can still be improved upon, I like to add to it several days after.  This is exactly one of these moments.
I created this beautiful candy stripe nails with a cute pink and blue polish.
I don't want to give any hints as to what I'm going to add to them, but it is for my birthday so I hope to share it with you tomorrow.

The products I used for this look are:
Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream
Headline Colours - Twisted Silk
China Glaze - Fairy Dust
3D acrylic bow, purchased from eBay

Update

I would have updated at the weekend, but like an idiot, I ended up getting Sun Stroke.  Even 3 days later, I'm still suffering.

It's also my 20th Birthday today, which is weird because I still consider myself to fit into the teenage demograph, judging by my interests and personality trates :').

From now on, I wish to continue updating this blog as often as possible.  I really am determined to make a good go at this, as I love writing about my creations, and sharing them with others.  I'm like a proud mother when it comes to my creations, as I'm so excited to share them with the world.

I hope you have all enjoyed this blog update, I know it was well overdue.
Please be sure to check back tomorrow for my Birthday Special (even though it's a day late ^^;).
Thank you ^^

Until next time...♡

NAIL ART: Little Twin Stars

Hey guys!
So it's been a while since my last post.  Sorry ^^;;.

My school year finishes in two weeks, so understandably I've been busy with coursework.  Also, I've been bed bound for the last two days v_v

Anyway, I'm back now!
So, with that I bring you my latest nail art.

For the past two weeks I've been wearing simple designs on my nails, but I found the time today to create something slightly more intricate.

This design was inspired by Sanrio's 'Little Twin Stars' characters, Kiki and Lala.

I found this to be rather cute and I'm proud of how it turned out, seeing as its been ages since I did character nail art.

The polishes I used were:
• Rimmel - Grey Matter
• Revlon - Blue Lagoon
• Barry M - Nude
• Barry M - Strawberry Ice Cream
• Barry M - Lemon Ice Cream
• Barry M - Berry Ice Cream
• Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream

Hope you all enjoyed this nail design.  I shall have more coming soon, as my school year is almost finished!

Until next time... ♡

May Glossybox Review

So recently, I decided to re-activate my Glossybox subscription.
I was very un-satisfied with Aprils box, but I just received my May box, and boy was it amazing!

Like an early Birthday Present!

I was super excited to open this box, and I wasn't disappointed.  I personally have to claim that this is by far the best Glossybox I've received.

Read the reviews after the jump ^^

Dripping Choco Ice Cream Nails

Hey!
Today I wish to share with you all my latest nail art.
I did Chocolate Ice Cream Inspired nail art:
Almost good enough to eat ^^!
I created this nail art to enter into a competition on Instagram, which had a 'Summer Theme' ^^.

I was hoping to have a tutorial for this specific nail art created but I haven't had the time to create one, so instead, I wish to link you to a video by CutePolish which displays how to create the dripping effect:

What you need:
- Base coat to protect your natural nail
- Pale Pink for base colour
- Matte Top Coat
- Brown polish
- Micro beads
OR
- Several coloured polishes and a small dotting tool
- Top Coat

What I used:
- Avon Gel Strength Base Coat
- Essie Sugar Daddy
- Rimmel Matte Top Coat
- Models Own - Nude Beige
- Multi Coloured Micro Beads (£2.50 on eBay)
- INM: Out the Door - Fast Drying Top Coat

I'm sorry that I was unable to create my own tutorial, and also for the lack of posts.  I wish to be back on top of my blogging before the end of May ^^

Until Next Time... ♡

Falsies!

Hey!
Today I wish to share with you all a few sets of false nails I painted to sell at an event this weekend :)!

For these nails I used:
• Rio - Silver
• Rio - Black Nail Art Pen
• Sinful Colors - Fiji
• Sinful Colors - Bikini

For this design, I used:
• Rimmel -
• BarryM - Mushroom
• BarryM: Gelly HiShine -
• Orly - Lift The Veil

I'm really into floral based designs at the moment.  They seem very summary ^^.

Sorry this is short, I'm busy with coursework again T_T..

Until Next Time... ♡

Dip dye.. Dip dye everywhere!

Hey guys!
Today, I bring you something slightly different... OK, a lot different!
I give you, dip dyes!
I'm aware that this trend is more or less a year old, but it's something that I've been trying to do for the past year ^^;;.
In this post, I will show you all my self-dip dye and the dip dye that I did for my friend.

First, my hair:
So I have been trying to dip dye my hair since November 2012, but all the semi-permanent dyes I purchased wouldn't take to my hair, even after I bleached my ends.  I feared that my hair would never accept a semi-permanent colour.
I was almost ready to give up, when I found a blessing from the hair gods.

I found La Riché Directions in my local Hair Superstore for £6.50, but I know a shopping centre near me that sells it for £4.50 (mwahahaha).
This stuff is AMAZING!
Seriously, it actually took to my hair!
The pot is big enough for a dip dye, but if you wanted to use this as an all-over dye, I'd buy several pots.

I recommend leaving this product to develop for at least 45 minutes, rather than the recommended 15 minutes.  The first time I used it, I left it for 15 minutes and it didn't take to my hair properly.
The second time I used it, I left it to develop for an hour, and the results were amazing!

I have had this colour in my hair for about a week now, and because I wash my hair 4 times a week, it has faded a lot.
Invest in dry shampoo and try to wash your hair less frequently in order to make the colour last longer.

I'm planning to go all-over lighter with my hair soon, so I think that I may also try the lavender dye from the same brand next.  It's more of a pinky-purple colour, so I look forward to seeing that!

Next, I want to share with you the dip dye I did for my friend:
Let's just all take a moment to admire how blooming vibrant this turned out!

The dye used for this is Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL in Shocking Pink.
It's a semi-permanent hair dye and I think she bought it for around £5.
We left this colour in to develop for around an hour, just to be sure it took to her hair.  It's safe to say that it did exactly that!
I'm really impressed with this product.  It looks so vibrant and shiny.
I did make a bit of a mistake though and clipped up a part of my friends bottom layer, which is quite obvious in the photo above, but seeing as she's a hairdresser, she was able to fix it by chipping into the layer to make it look less obvious.
This dye has only been in her hair for one day, so the fade time is unknown to us at the moment, but judging by how vibrant her ends are, I'm assuming it won't fade quickly.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post.  I know that this is a nail art blog by name, but I enjoy throwing up the random irrelevant post ^^.

Until next time... ♡

HowTo: Floor Tile Nails

Hey!
I recently created a pastel coloured, floor tile inspires mani when I was bored one day, so I thought I'd share it here, and also how I achieved this look!

The Finished Look!
In order to recreate this look, you will need:
- Base Coat
- Top Coat
- A base colour (I used white)
- 4 other colours of your choice
- Scissors
- Striping tape (alternatively, you could cut thin strips of scotch tape)
Optional:
- Tweezers to place/ remove the tape with ease

Step One:

Apply your base coat to protect your natural nail.  Once it's fully dry, apply a coat of your base colour.  If needed, apply a second once the first has dried.
Leave colour to fully dry before moving on to Step Two.

Step Two:

Once your base colour is fully dry, place your tape on your nail in the shape of a cross.
It helps to remember what order you placed them in.

Step Three:

Paint your four colours in the different sections, taking care to be careful and not overlap the colours into other sections.

Step Four:

Remove the tape in reverse order of what you laid them down in (told you it helps ^^), whilst the nail polish is still slightly wet.
Wait for the polish to dry then top it off with your favourite top coat!

Finished!

I hope that this tutorial is clear enough to understand, and if you try it out, make sure to @reply me (@fia93) on Instagram.  I wanna see the results ^^!

Products used:
- Avon - Gel Strength Base Coat
- Rimmel - White
- BarryM: Gelly Hi-Shine - Greenberry
- BarryM - Strawberry Ice Cream
- Models Own: Scented - Blueberry Pie
- Models Own: Scented - Grape Juice
- INM: Out The Door - Fast Drying Top Coat

Thank you for reading!
Until Next Time...

Phone Cover Review

Hey!
I want to share with you all a recent purchase of mine.

A few weeks ago, I upgraded to a new phone, and with a new phone comes to buying new phone covers.

I'll be the first to admit that I have an addiction to cute phone covers.  My collection for my last one was insanely large, and have now been passed onto my mother!

I've actually featured this cover on a previous blog post before, but it only just arrived today!
Tada!! ♡

My pastel unicorn case finally arrived!!
I felt like a child at Christmas when opening it!

I bought this cover for £4.95 from eBay.  The seller is based in Manchester, UK so I'm unsure if they ship worldwide, but I'll link the seller below for those who are interested.

The case itself is a clip on case for an iPhone 4S, but I'm certain you can get it for other models/makes.  It feels very durable and it fits my phone perfectly.  I mention this because I've had problems in the past with phone cases that don't fit my phone fully.

From what I can tell, the product is made from high quality material and the print has been screen-printed onto the case.

Although I highly trust this seller, as I've bought from them several times in the past, the only problem I ever encountered was the delivery time for this item took longer than usual (8 days longer).  This doesn't put me off buying from them again.

I'm extremely happy to finally own this case, and it is such a bargain for the quality you receive!

I hope you all enjoyed this post!
Until next time... ♡

Hand-Painted Falsies 2.0!

Hey!
So recently, I received my shipment of blank false nails from Hong Kong!
Unfortunately, due to my work load with College, I haven't been able to paint the sets, except for one.

I've mentioned in a previous post that I often paint false nails for my mother, so this is the latest design I re-created for her.
I used the picture below, provided by my mom, as inspiration for her nails, to create the false nails above.

*I couldn't find the original artist for this design as it was found on a Facebook Page*

My mom adored the results so much that she went ahead and applied them before they were fully dry, so I had to attend to the nails again :').

I'm sorry that this post is so short, but I'm writing it between coursework, so please be kind to me ^^.

Until Next Time...

Sparkling Pastel Rainbows!

Hey!
I've been stuck for nail inspiration lately, but I recently managed to created nail art to match my new iPhone Cover!

It's so cute!!
I was sorely tempted to paint the Unicorn as well but I chickened out and didn't bother.
I love how the design turned out though.

I used a fine art brush to create the stripes on the rainbows and topped the entire design with a fine glitter.

The polishes I used for this design are;
Avon - Gel Shine Base Coat
Models Own - Grape Juice
Barry M - Strawberry Ice Cream
Barry M - Peach Melba
Orly - Ancient Jade
China Glaze - Fairy Dust
INM - Out The Door Top Coat

I really enjoyed creating this design!

Until next time...

Monochrome Nails

Hey!
I decided to change my nail shape recently :)!

Lately, everyone seems to be rocking claw/ stiletto nail shapes, and as much as I love them, I couldn't have mine as sharp as I'd want them to be.
I'm usually a klutz and always end up slicing my face, etc with my nails ^^;
I decided to round my tips to avoid anymore injuries to myself!

I used RIO silver polish and an OPI mini black polish for the tips along with a black RIO nail art pen.
Since this manicure, I've neatened the shape up twice.
Until next time...

Final Blue Nails for Autism ♡

Hello!
These are my final Blue Nails for Autism

I decided to do an all-blue take on vintage floral nails!
I used dotting tools to create the roses and the petals.  I then used a fine, thin brush to create the stripes.

Polishes Used;

- Maybelline - Denim
- BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine - Greenberry
- Miss Sporty - Blue
- Models Own Scented - Blueberry Muffin
- INM - Out The Door Fast Drying Topcoat

I hope you all enjoyed this design!  It's been great creating blue manicures throughout the month of April.
From now on, I hope to show more variation of colours and designs on this blog ^^;

Until Next Time... ♡

Drugstore Polishes

When I got paid last week, I decided to treat myself to a few new polishes.

There are only two British Drugstore brands that I adore for polish, and those are BarryM and Models Own. The appearance and the quality of their polishes never fail me.

I bought:
• BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine - Greenberry
• BarryM Textured - Station Road
• BarryM Textured - Atlantic Road
• BarryM Colour Change - Chameleon Lilic
• Models Own Scented - Blueberry Muffin
• Models Own Scented - Grape Juice

I swatched the colours at night time (before realising that my camera had a flash ^^;;).
Check out the images below for the colours.

Random Polishes:

• BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine - Greenberry

This is a vibrant light green polish that has a high shine built in.  It reached full opacity in just one coat!  I love using BarryM's Hi-Shine range on days that I can't be bothered to sit and mess around with top coats.  As a lover of green, this polish will be overly used by me.  It quickly became one of my favourite green polishes within my collection.

• BarryM Colour Change - Chameleon Lilic

I bought this polish on a whim.  I've seen swatches of colour changing polish before and I just wanted to try one out for myself.  Honestly, I cannot understand the hype around it though.  I like the polish and the colour change, but I doubt it would be of much use to me.  I think this polish would be best used for a quick colour before running out the door on a rushed morning.

Textured Polishes:

• BarryM Textured - Atlantic Road

When I first applied this gorgeous blue polish, I thought to myself that the formula was far too thin to create a texture.  Well, wasn't I proven wrong?  I've never been so fascinated watching paint dry before!  I needed to apply three coats to reach full opacity, but I think I could have gotten away with only two.

• BarryM Textured - Station Road

This lemon yellow colour drys beautifully, and with the added texture it reminds me of lemons.  I used four coats to fully cover my nail.
As for textured polishes, I've used OPI's Liquid Sand before, and honestly, I prefer BarryM's range of textured polishes.  Don't get me wrong, Liquid Sand is lovely, but its glitter-based and I find glitter polish extremely harsh on my nails.

Scented Polishes:

Do you know how long I've waited for scented polishes?!  When Revlon brought out their range, I could not find a single bottle of their polish anywhere!  I finally gave up the search, and whilst browsing the make-up isle in my local Boots, I came to Models Own make-up stand; And then I saw it.
SCENTED POLISHES!!!!
I wanted to buy them all!  I refrained myself and only bought two.

• Models Own Scented - Blueberry Muffin

This is an amazing powder blue colour that smells great.  The scent only lasted for a day, but the colour was enough to keep me satisfied.

• Models Own Scented - Grape Juice

This beautiful purple smells great and looks lovely on my nails!  I use to own a purple this colour from Avon, but when that dried up, I never replaced it.  This is a great addition to my collection.

On the way to the till to buy these polishes, I passed the Revlon stand, and guess what was sat there?  Bloody scented polishes.  I turned my nose up at them, and kept on walking to the checkout, with my ever faithful Models Own bottles.

Once the month of April has finished, and I've finished my last Blue Nails for Autism design, I'll definitely play about with these polishes!

Hope you enjoyed this post!  I've been trying to write this for several days now,  but I've been so busy with other stuff lately.
Until next time ... ♡
